We purchased a new Acadia a couple of days ago from Matt Seger at Sullivan Buick GMC. We had visited the dealership three times over a period of about six weeks. He never tried to rush us into making a purchase, which is something that we really appreciated. Once we made our decision he located a vehicle with all of the options we wanted and in the color that we had chosen. Then on his day off he personally went to inspect it and pick it up for us. He was very upfront and at no point did my wife or I feel pressured into making a decision. We have bought automobiles from various other dealers in the past and the experiences have been just "ok", after this past experience at Sullivan the bar has been set for the way we expect to be treated in the future. What my wife and I were particularly impressed with was how trusting they were when it came to test-drives and taking the vehicle home over night prior to our official purchase. Well, unless you team up with Geoff Sulkowski then it's not only not so bad, it's actually good. Geoff was the ultimate professional and was much more of a consultant and a specialist than a salesman. He was extremely patient and made my experience a good one. He was a joy to be around and I never felt like he was trying to "sell" me a car. I felt like he was trying to "find" me a car and get me the best deal I could. By the time I left the dealer in my new ride I drove away thinking I got the better end of the deal and not only did I think it, I knew it....I almost bought from a private seller and boy am I glad I didn't make that mistake. Working with the dealer is really the only way to go in my opinion. They took care of everything and I do mean everything. When I drove away I already had my new license plates on and the registration all taken care of. Geoff took the time to show me every feature of the car and showed me how to take advantage of all the things my new car had to offer. He was a great listener and like I said before, I felt like he was on my side trying to help me find a car that I loved and not once did he try to steer me in a direction I didn't want to go. When i told him I needed to think about it, he bought me lunch so I could chew on for a little bit. Before I drove away he noticed the car was low on gas so he took the car and put gas in it for me while I signed the paperwork, and he didn't have to do that at all and by that time I had already agreed to buy it. I felt like he was on my side the entire time and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a car. I knew I was going to probably drive away in a new car when i pulled in but I never thought I'd leave with a new friend too. More
