We schedule an apt and meet Mark with not knowing what we really wanted other then wanting out of our current SUV. So we spent some time test driving. Have I mentioned how much fun we had, I don't think I have ever had so much fun and felt like we not only bought a car but we made a new friend that we can return to for many years to come. Everyone we meet acted like we have known them for years. I cant tell you how friendly and at home we felt from the moment we walked in. Mark is amazing... We came by looking at vehicles and liked the Subaru Forrester, Greg came out and we went over some items and he suggested we go inside and discuss further. Customer Service: Not only did we meet the Finance manager and General manager, Mark took us to meet Robie Mears, the Service Dept. Manager, after we had purchased the Outback. In talking, we found out that I had taught his wife in the third grade! As he lives in Melfa, he offered to meet / pick up my car for Service and return it! This is a huge service to those of us who live on the EAstern Shore of Va., because we live an hour and half away from the dealership. This was a huge selling point for us! Mark Layne also took care of calling my insurance agent and switched car insurance coverage for me, so my new car was covered, as we drove off the lot! Quality of Service: HIGHEST ratings! I will continue to buy from Buchanan Subaru, not only for the car ratings and performance, but because of the staff - from sales to service- they provide a total package of person to person quality delivery. Friendliness: Mark Layne met us in the parking lot as we pulled up to the dealership, called us by name and escorted us into the dealership. I had already made an appointment to test drive a Forester through Ashley, the finance manager, via email. Mark explained every detail about the Forester before we test drove it, and answered any questions we had while driving it. He has an easy manner, which we liked very much - no sales talk, (which would have made us leave ) but just a straight forward approach. He was very patient with us as spent most of the day with him!( 5 hours) Overall Experience: I went in looking for a 2014 Forester, but with Mark's sales skills in reading his customers, I ended up buying an Outlander. I had 5 other dealership meetings set up from Salisbury, MD to Va. Beach, VA, extending into next week. Buchanan Subaru's overall staff, and of course, especially Mark Layne, sealed "the deal". Price: I came prepared, as I had done the research on Subarus. I had a 2003 Buick LeSabre Limited to trade-in , if appraisal was fair. I had printed the blue book price, and black book price, so I had those figures with me. My car was in excellent shape, as we had maintained it with 3,000 mile oil changes,any repairs needed,etc. My price was met for my buick! The 2013 Subaru Outback, I purchased was bargained for until a price was agreed upon that met the monthly payment that I could afford. I'm ecstatic! More
