Dear doubleoking: Thanks for taking the time to share how well you were treated by Graysen during your vehicle search. Of course, we are disappointed by your comments regarding the remainder of your review. For the last 15 years, Certified Benz & Beemer has been a "best price upfront" store, long before many of the other nationwide used car dealerships such as CarMax, Auto Nation, etc. have been using that model. Studies have shown that more than 95% of the public prefers receiving the dealership's best price upfront in order to avoid the adversarial aspect of negotiating to eventually get the "best" price. CBB is also fully transparent with the fees it charges, including the ones you comment as "junk fees" which are not only posted in each of the vehicles advertised on the internet but in BOLD letters to avoid any misunderstanding. All of that said, we are happy to hear that you were able to obtain the vehicle you were looking for. I welcome the opportunity to discuss our vehicle pricing policy with you if you wish. Put me in that 5% that would like to get a better price I guess. And when your price is listed as "fair" or "high" on Carguru's, I would say that is not a "best price upfront", at least for my budget. As for the added junk fees, I never stated the junk were not transparent, I was told upfront about the $1000 in junk fees and $600 in doc fee. I understand dealer doc fees are pretty much standard these days, but then adding an extra $1000 on top of that is enough to make me look elsewhere. That is nothing against your business or business model. It must be working or you would not be in business. As a middle class car buyer, I prefer to look for better pricing and less fees.
