Above and beyond service! The team at Downey Hyundai truly take the time to see the person behind the wheel of every Hyundai they service. I drive for Uber and my 2017 Hyundai The team at Downey Hyundai truly take the time to see the person behind the wheel of every Hyundai they service. I drive for Uber and my 2017 Hyundai Elantra was acting erratically. The car would randomly start shaking, then stop. The check engine light would go on and instantly shut off. I can't have my car acting this way when I have passengers, so I took it into Downey Hyundai. After explaining the symptoms, my service advisor Alain determined it was most likely the coils, but wouldn't know for sure until a technician checked it out. Unfortunately, the check engine light and shaking wasn't present when I took it in, so they could not properly diagnose it. They left my car running for 40 minutes and drove it for a few miles and still no symptoms. Alain informed me they tried plugging it into the computer, but nothing was popping up. Without symptoms, there was really nothing they could do. I was very disappointed because I knew the minute I had passengers in my car, it was going to act up again and I would have to end my Uber shift early to bring it back to the dealership. When I expressed this to Alain, he truly heard me. He empathized with the fact that this problem could affect my livelihood. So without a definitive diagnosis, he insisted that the technicians replace my coils. The car has been running great ever since! Thanks again to the team at Downey Hyundai, especially Alain Barragan, for truly caring about the person and not just the car! More

Three visits to fix it. It took three visits to get it right. They kept insisting they had performed all of the work, but then I turned on the headlights and one was STILL o It took three visits to get it right. Plus the job was originally stated to take about a week. it turned out to be much longer. Just not happy with the lack of attention to detail. More

Oil change Went in to get car serviced for an oil change. Ask for recommendations and I received for a cabin filter change. I told the service manager when I received my car that I had just changed the cabin filter two days prior to my appointment. His response was since my engine filter needs to be changed they assumed that the cabin filter needs a change. I really think they inspected my car fully because also received a recommendation for both back brakes lights were out and they really were not out! More
