I recently purchased a 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS. Charlie Sutton, my salesman, did a good job educating me as a buy, and was professional through the sales process. With the new facility under construction, the existing facility was underwhelming, and the sales management team seemed too relaxed. I was impressed with the pricing and the sales process. Now I will get a chance to evaluate the service since this is the first time I have purchased from this dealer. More

The day I was ready to buy, John was rather busy but Kelly worked with me and helped me find the car I liked. When John finished with his other customer, he worked to understand my needs--both in the vehicle and in finances--to make sure that the car I liked would truly meet my needs. I am now a proud owner of 2012 Hyundai Accent from Dave Mungenast. I take my car there for maintenance (it's already had its first oil change) and can't believe how friendly, exact and timely the service department is. The only complaint I have with the dealer is actually its building. They are building a new location near their current; so, I'm hoping my complaints with the current layout will be resolved. The building is clean and well-kept. The lay-out of office space and customer space is congestive and confusing though. More
Was given $200 for my still running hyundai sonata trade in which had a $200 dollar stereo in it, which they refused to remove for me, unless I paid $90. New car had very yellowed headlights (did not come clean with auto store products) but they would not clean them for me for the sale, asked for $35 instead. Did not bargain on price, but let's just let that slide. Would not perform any other services on the new car before purchase. Will never use any Mungenast dealer again, seeing as how I wrote a letter of complaint and received absolutely no reply. (edit) I received a call back from Mr. Keesling, the manager of the Mungenast branch. After tolerating a barrage of insults and constant topic changing, I have come to the conclusion that the management, as well as sales staff, have no desire to actually send off satisfied customers- only to make profit. Mr. Keesling stated that I was lucky to have received such a deal as I did, and that I should not have expected anything more than what I was given. He kept reiterating that I took the deal as is, implying my arguments and complaints were illogical/non-sensical, and implying that I was trying to change the deal after the fact. However, the price of the car was not my argument, nor am I trying to change a deal. I am trying to warn customers that getting attached to any car you may see at their lot is likely to cause you to be taken to the cleaners on your trade-in, installed devices and so on - not to mention that you cannot expect even the simplest of services (such as headlight cleaning) to be performed on your purchase, because apparently, your satisfaction with such things is irrelevant. To be so thoroughly berated and insulted by management is horrible, and more vociferous will be my warnings to all I know. More

Although the sales person Charlie Sutton was very good, we were not at all impressed with the how clean the car was after purchase. I have bought many cars in my time and they always clean them up before we were not at all impressed with the how clean the car was after purchase. I have bought many cars in my time and they always clean them up before the customer takes possession. This car had ashes in the ash tray, had some sticky kind of tar or something all over the back hatch and window, also there was brake dust all over the rims. We were told it was going to be detailed before we took it and we couldn't see where it had been touched. I personally think it is pretty bad when you buy a used car from a dealership and have to turn around and spend $45 and your own time getting the car cleaned up. Overall I would send customers to this dealership but I hope they will step up the department that cleans the vehicles. The sales and the financing department were very nice and easy to work with. More

Charlie Sutton and Mungenast Hyundai were a pleasure to deal with. The whole transaction was very straight forward and there were none of the usual unexpected additional fees and costs. Like all other dealerships they do offer the usual overpriced accessories and add ons, but there is no hard sell on these. I highly recommend Mungenast Hyundai to anyone looking for a new car. Charlie was a pleasure to work with. My wife and I ended up deciding on a different make of vehicle (Toyota), but after we had a bad experience at the Toyota dealership and walked out, Charlie followed up with me and offered to act as a liaison with a local Toyota dealership in the Mungenast network. Long story short, we're getting the vehicle we want at the price we're willing to pay from Mungenast Toyota, and Charlie took the hard work out of the process for us. You get a lot of variety with car salespeople, from good to bad, but Charlie is definitely one of the good ones. More
