This dealership worked with me to get me out of a really shady deal I got stuck with a couple years prior. They didn't take advantage of my situation and still gave me a great price. They were patient with me while I searched around for all kinds of financing options to get myself the best deal. (You could say I was a little paranoid after the previous experience elsewhere) They even held the car for me for a couple days while I shopped around, and when I was finally ready they were waiting with open arms to help me. I can't tell them how appreciative I am for all their help, and their HONESTY. It was so good to see that there are still honest dealerships out there. If you go in, ask for John Hawkins. He'll take care of you and treat you how you should be treated. Thanks guys, you're awesome! More

The entire staff truly worked as a team, from the Sales Manager, who greeted me at the door and introduced me to my knowledgeable salesman Jay, to Trudy, the financial rep, everyone made me feel as if they had MY best interest in mind. I recommend them over ANY dealer in the St. Louis area. And, yes I love my Genesis. More

At the time I'd just left another dealership where a gentleman wanted me to "preregister" before I even had a chance to see what was on the showroom and lot. I immediately walked away from that other dealership. At Dave Mungenast's I never felt pressured in the least. My experience with the people at Mungenast Hyundai was very positive and I would recommend them to anyone. More

Randy & Mike in the Service Dept., Charlie Sutton, Jaime & Tom in New Car Sales, and Trudy in Finance are the Greatest!!! Although I had a 2011 Hyundai Sonata I had purchased from the other dealer, I ended up trading up to a higher level Sonata at a good price at Mungenast, and I look forward to an ongoing business relationship with them. Their professionalism, kindness, and sense of caring won me over... I would recommend Dave Mungenast Hyundai to anyone looking for the best St. Louis has to offer!!! More

However we had one problem our credit was not so good. I looked on line and read that the Mungenast Family had programs for people like us. David had gone to the dealership and was greeted by Charlie Sutton.David explained to Charlie what we would like to do and he told Charlie up front about the credit issues. Charlie talked to David a very long time and after talking everything out ,Charlie thought he could help. A couple of days later I went back to the dealership with David. We meet with Charlie again and he then introduced us to Trudy Brandt. She spent a long time talking to us and told us that the Mungenast Family had several lenders that help people with credit issues to turn things around. Trudy spent time finding na lender for us that was right for our situation . We came back a few days later to pick up the car.Charlie and Tudy are truly a blessing to this Mungenast family. Not once did either of them look down on us for our credeit issues. These salesmen are not your normal "car salesmen." I had been looking for a used SUV in the St. Louis area for over a month and while I found a couple that would do I couldn't stand buying a car from dealer been looking for a used SUV in the St. Louis area for over a month and while I found a couple that would do I couldn't stand buying a car from dealerships that had me drive to their place three or four times to test drive my trade in or quote me the same price I said 'no' to a day prior. I've done a lot of research on edmonds.com and other reputable car websites about dealership tricks and the sales lingo to avoid. At Mungenast I didn't even have to dodge phrases like "right off the bat" or the old "up too?" trick or only talking in phrases of monthly payment instead of actual total numbers. These men were OUTSTANDING. I had originally called because I saw their SUV in an auto sales magazine and spoke with Ron. He gave me all the details I needed but when I stopped in to take a look at the SUV he was helping another customer so Bob took me out to see the vehicle. It was exactly what I wanted! Bob and I went back in the dealership and then I talked with Jamie, the sales manager, about numbers. Jamie was very laid back and easy to talk to. The three of us worked out the deal but because it was night time I said I wanted to see the car in the light before I signed on the dotted line. Jamie said it wasn't a problem and let me take the suv home even though I wouldn't be able to return it until 5pm the next day. I couldn't believe how well all of these guys worked as a team. I did not feel like I was a mouse in a cut throat snake pit as I had at another dealer down the street. When I walked in the next day the paperwork was ready to go and I was in their office for under an hour. I had been preapproved but wanted a loan from my bank. They let me go get the check and bring it in the next day. My credit union who had preapproved me as well had denied my loan due to my job being commission only. When I called Bob crying that I had to return my new car he said not to worry and just to come in. The team at Mungenast were able to get me the loan and a good interest rate. I would strongly recommend this dealership to anyone who has a brain and is disgusted with the how they are treated at typical dealerships... or just anyone who wants a new car :o). The men that I worked with at Dave Mungenast were the most low pressure, awesome group of guys I've ever dealt with. And it is very obvious that Mr. Mungenast connects with his sales staff (I know this because I saw him hanging out with them) and really takes care of his staff. It seems everyone there is very happy with their employer and that spills over on how they treat their customers. 5 stars gentlemen! More
