We recently acquired an older, very low milage Kia Soul. The car had tires, brakes, fluids, filters and battery replaced due to age and all within the past 30 days and not at Kia of Wesley Chapel. We brought the car to Kia of Wesley Chapel for a recall. Our service manager, Manny, called to inform us that the battery was so old that it could fail at any time, the filters were so dirty they needed immediate attention and hinted at a laundry list of "old" parts that needed to be replaced due to the age of the car. Of course, none of this was true. When he was confronted he became very defensive. He rambled about cameras to prove what he was saying and waived his cell phone in front of me as if it had some important information...which I was never actually shown. It's very unfortunate that Kia dealers are still acting in this manner today. In the past, Kia was known as a "down-brand" product. Dealers easily took advantage of customers who may not have had the resources of higher end buyers. Now, Kia manufactures some great products, but the dealers seem to be stuck in the same mindset... upsell and take advantage. There are many Kia dealers in the Tampa Bay area. As with everything, I would assume some are better than others and I would highly recommend you search out one of the others before deciding to trust your vehicle and money with Kia of Wesley Chapel. More

STOP. ...Lemon Alert 2024 KIA Sportage XLine AWD VIN 5XYK43DF5RG217967 was "bought" back by KIA Wesley Chapel on Monday 7/15/2024 due to ongoing electrical ...Lemon Alert 2024 KIA Sportage XLine AWD VIN 5XYK43DF5RG217967 was "bought" back by KIA Wesley Chapel on Monday 7/15/2024 due to ongoing electrical issues that cannot be fixed. They made repairs but never stopped the periodic problem of the dash blacking out, flashing and all warning lights coming on. The vehicle is fine until it isn't. They cannot find the short. Sticker price on this car was $34610 and it has 4810 miles on it. I owned it 7 months and there is a very long service history. I was told it would go to auction or maybe back to manufacturer. IT IS LISTED FOR SALE ON THEIR WEBSITE TODAY 7/17/2024. The replacement vehicle is a 2024 Sportage SX FWD with a sticker price of $34985. Only $375 more than my XLine AWD. And yet I had to pay $5608.62 additional dollars to get into the SX. This is not making me whole on this Lemon and now they will pass it on to another unsuspecting consumer who will drive it until out of the blue the screen will black out and all of the warning lights will come on. And don't let them tell you they replaced the cluster...they did that months ago and it still does it. If you are foolish enough to purchase this vehicle, regardless of the price they put on it they think 7 months, 4810 and electrical issues is only worth $27000 but were generous enough after much negotiation to give me $30,500 and still charge more xx fees. I walked in owing $5754 on the lemon and out the door owing $11335 on the replacement only valued at $375 more and I'm supposed to be grateful I got such a deal. I didn't get to meet him but this "deal" supposedly went through the new General Manager. BUYER BEWARE. More
