Great Steve was amazing. It was my first time buying a new car and he made it a very good experience. Friendly, informative and without any pushy behavior. Steve was amazing. I had a hill to climb, Steve got me a Jeep, a bad xxx one Steve Wray at Lithia is the man. Ben really did his part too to make it all come together. Long story short, my auto loan approval was expiring that d Steve Wray at Lithia is the man. Ben really did his part too to make it all come together. Long story short, my auto loan approval was expiring that day and after failing to make several deals at other dealerships over the past couple weeks due to negative equity, I called to Corpus from San Antonio and told Steve flat out I didn't have enough equity or down payment to make the deal work but wanted to negotiate over the phone, which was UNCONVENTIONAL and a bad start to a negotiation. I was coming up short on my end but Steve and Ben did their part to play with the numbers and offer more on my trade that other places and get the numbers to work, taking digital pics of my trade for value estimates even. It was about 6pm Saturday night when they said I had a deal and CC is a 2.5 hour trip. Steve, Ben, and the rest of the staff stayed after hours, well after hours waiting for me to get there, then just to get me signed that evening before my deal expired. I was a little off on my payoff too when I told Steve over the phone, which they didn't find out until I was mid trip, but rather than fight me of Nicole's and dimes, that extra disappeared magically from the numbers, meaning that they did the right thing for the customer, even though it was my mistake. My wife was able to drive off in her DREAM jeep with a lift, 35's, leather, fully painted hardtop and trim, with 100k warranty, for less than what other dealerships were overcharging for the same type jeep. The thing that sealed the deal though was I didn't have the best deal and Ben found a better rate and term than the loan on my trade and my payment only went up $71, rather than the $100 I would have owed with my loan that I was in a panic to try and use... and that's the short story of all it took to get it done... I should have just called Lithia much sooner. it was still the easiest deal and fastest signing I have ever done. I thought when I called randomly for a salesmen, someone would treat me like a total stranger and would laugh in my face and say I was crazy to call a dealership three hours away to negotiate when I had no chips in the game... but I got Steve instead, and somehow He and Lithia made sure I walked away FAMILY with a royal flush of a deal. Hats off to Steve and crew; they need a cold one for the extra sweat I crammed into last Saturday night, general manager ? cheers and God bless everyone! More
