Very negative experience with my recent visit and needed repairs on my son's car. Probably would not return for repairs again, only basic oil changes. Poor customer service by Terry, Service manager, extend repairs on my son's car. Probably would not return for repairs again, only basic oil changes. Poor customer service by Terry, Service manager, extended delays, questionable follow-up with needed parts from external source where parts were ordered, and no updates or courtesy call from service manager. Four repairs are requested and took a week and a half to get the needed parts and was told all other repairs were done in the interim while waiting for parts for last repair, but when told car is finished and can pickup vehicle, oil change and installation of block heater was still not done. Had to wait at dealership while car was inline for oil change and had to return two days later for installation of block heater. One consolation was the oil change was free and vehicle was picked up at house for installation of block heater. Still, not satisfied with overall experience, feel there was no customer service and will not deal with Terry again in the future. Will use another auto repair business for future service, only basic oil changes at Luther Ford. Have lost my trust and apparently good customer service has gone by the wayside at Fargo Luther Ford. I brought my Navigator in to have the heated seat repaired. It took me five days to get an appointment. They said they needed to order a part. That took three days and then it was another week bef repaired. It took me five days to get an appointment. They said they needed to order a part. They then discovered the part they ordered didn't repair the seat, it was another part that had to be replaced. That part also had to be ordered. As it turned out, that part also didn't repair the seat. They thought it might be the wiring that needed replaced. But, they couldn't guarantee that would fix the problem, it could be something else. With the wiring replacement, the cost of the repair was approaching $1,000. I told them not to do anymore work on the seat. They said they would still have to charge me labor and the cost of the first part. They backed off charging for the first part since I argued it didn't fix the problem and the part in the car probably wasn't defective. However, I did get charged over $300 for a repair that wasn't done. More
First called to get 2013 F150 ecoboost in to service for a check engine light, and was told that it isn't a big deal and to come in next week. When I brought the vehicle in and described all the issues was told they would figure it all out with the exception of the auto start. He told my that the factory units are junk and I should just replace it with an after market unit. (REALLY!) Then as I walked in to the office I stopped, and turned around to talk again and was blessed with hearing the service gentleman talking about me and my seemingly lack of intelligence to another female service agent. Here is where my satisfaction dropped out the bottom. I got the call that my truck was done and went to pick it up, to find out that they could find nothing other then some bulletins. I tried to ask some questions and he would not even give me the time of day and told me to just bring it back in if it happens again. On a good note your receptionists were very plesent and heplful, courtesy driver was friendly and a safe driver. F More
Excellent service! I did not buy my vehicle from them, but they still treat me like any other customer. I was having issues with my car starting so I brought it in to have the battery checked. The mechanic was excellent and explained everything. I was immediately helped even though I didn't have an appointment. I was out of there in thirty minutes with a new battery with a three year warranty and much relieved. I have not had any issues with my car starting since then. Since I moved to Fargo, I have had my oil changed, battery changed, and an engine heat block installed. I have never had any issues with the service. I especially appreciate how they check all the fluid levels and tire pressures any time you bring your vehicle in for service. The price is very fair, and the mechanics and associates are always friendly and kind. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone! More
I reached out to Terry @ Luther Ford after I got a quote from another dealer who recommended a change in my brake caliper when I went to change my tires. But on meeting with Terry (service dept.) he said that the calipers were perfect and did not need any replacement, however I would need to change my brake pads and replacing the pads would cost me only $180. What happened here was not only did I save a lot of money, but the commitment to serve the customer honestly. This has left a lasting impression on me of Terry and Luther Ford and a lifelong customer for Luther Ford Thank you Terry for the honesty and Thank you Luther Ford of Fargo. You guys ROCK! I thought I was having drive train problems because of vibration in the vehicle. The Service department determined it was belting in one of the tires had seperated. the tires had about 55,000 miles. Replaced them all and it took care of the problem. Steve the service manager also reminded me of the rebates they were having on the tires. That saved me some money also. I have an 05 Focus that runs basically like brand new. I'll admit, since the day I bought this brand new, I haven't always driven it with kid gloves. They are the most knowledgeable service and sales people I think in our area.This is because when your service is finished, the tech working on your car comes to you and gives you a very thorough explanation of everything - what's good, what's not great, if things should be replaced, how and why, etc. They are never pushy, either, but just want you to be aware of anything that could cause problems. My husband purchased his 07 Focus from here and his also still runs like new. When it's time for me to upgrade to an SUV, I'll be coming here! The sales people aren't pushy, either, but rather full of the information you need. More
