I would first like to say that the customer service is Superb!! I have spoken to very few dealerships with the expertise and friendly nature as Vernon. I did not end up buying from them just for the simp Superb!! I have spoken to very few dealerships with the expertise and friendly nature as Vernon. I did not end up buying from them just for the simple fact that it is over a 5 hour drive away. I 100% would recommend anyone to their establishment for a truck purchase due to the prices, warranty, and customer service. More

My wife and I were looking for a new Expedition EL Limited (white in color) and drove from Abilene to Dallas earlier on Saturday to look at vehicles and visit her elderly aunt. No luck in Dallas, Anyw Limited (white in color) and drove from Abilene to Dallas earlier on Saturday to look at vehicles and visit her elderly aunt. No luck in Dallas, Anyway, after a nice lunch with auntie at the Salt Grass restaurant in Garland we decided to call Vernon Group about their three Expedition EL Limited vehicles (all four-wheel-drive and ranging from low to high $46,000 price range. It was nearly 2 PM when we left Dallas and so being a long north west loop around to Vernon instead of heading home to Abilene we decided to call to see when they closed. They said 6 and we looked at our Navigator device in our Cadillac SRX and it said a little over 4 hours. But they said they would keep someone to wait on us even if we were late after 6. They did and when we arrived we drove a nice white 2012 Expedition EL. It was pretty dusty on the windshield and no windshield wiper fluid or I'd give them all Fives. One of the vehicles was not there we wanted to look at, but the one we drove was a good price. We didn't accept the price offered for our car so we didn't make a deal, but no hard feelings. It was just wasn't the vehicle in the cards anyway, because we later found a new 2012 Lincoln Navigator that was so nice elsewhere. Spent about $12,000 more for it so I guess it should be nicer. Anyway, good dealership in Vernon...might come back another day. I have bought about fifty cars in my lifetime and I'll probably buy a few more. Thanks, Texruss More
My wife and I drove to Vernon (45 minutes away) Friday morning to BUY a truck that I found on their website. Not that it matters but it was a $60,000+ pickup. My wife and I walked around the lot for a goo morning to BUY a truck that I found on their website. Not that it matters but it was a $60,000+ pickup. My wife and I walked around the lot for a good 20 minutes to find the vehicle that we were looking for (they have a HUGE inventory). There were no customers or salesmen on the lot. There were two employees (without customers) that were circling the lot on golf carts though. They waived several times but never stopped to help. I'm not sure what their job was... but they failed. They should have at least offered to go get someone. We went into the office and there was one customer in there and all of the other salesmen were reclined in their chairs talking to each other or texting. They all sat there looking at us like we were lost or something? The receptionist requested a salesman to come help us but no one got up. She finally had to call two salesman by name to get one to help. It was very hot outside that day so I understand not wanting to go out but come on! Anyway... I was still in a good mood and ready to buy something. The salesman that helped us was very nice & friendly but the battery was dead in the truck we wanted. He seemed to be unable to get anyone to help him start it. We finally left and told him we would come back after lunch to try again. I checked back in with them a few times that day but no one had even touched the truck. There were never any customers in the office or on the lot any of the times I went in there so I know they were not just too busy. I talked to the salesman again at 7:30 that night and I was told that he looked all day for jumper cables but could not find any??? Really??? Anyway... He promised they would put new batteries in the truck call me back in the morning. I missed his call that morning at 8:30am (My fault... I was in the shower) but I tried back right away and 5 other times throughout the day leaving messages with two different people there but no one ever called me back. Oh well. I'm sure they get a lot of business but I just can't imagine not being interested in selling a customer on a $60,000 pickup!!! I own my own business and this sort of thing just does not happen. They were, at least on those days, a very unmotivated group of people :( We finally gave up and just went to Four Stars in Henrietta. They did not have nearly the selection but they did have a vehicle with just a few more options as the one at Vernon for about the same price. The salesmen were all friendly and the deal took just a couple hours just as I expected to get from Vernon. Anyway... Still today no one has called back. Vernon has some really great deals and must sell a lot of cars but I just can not understand the laziness. Every other dealership I have ever been in would bend over backwards to try to make a sale. Maybe it was just too hot outside for them???? More
Hands down the best buying experience on my new truck I have ever had. I can't say enough about Steve Ybarra and Kay Lynn Rodriguez. Vernon Auto Group was worth the 600 miles from NM.
