Bill ran my credit ~12 times, though only told me he had done it once. When I tried to clear things up, he said they would simply disappear soon. They did not. Following this credit incident, I figured it wouldn't matter, as we made an agreement. Right before I came to pick up and purchase the car, he sent a very informal text letting me know that since I wasn't able to leave work to come buy the car, he decided to sell it out from under me to someone else. He did not seem to have any sort of remorse about the situation, instead just tried to sell me a worse car that met 0 of the requirements I had been looking for. He's simply looking to make the most money in the quickest way possible, no matter how terrible the customer service. Please go elsewhere; this is a classic car salesman at its worst. More

Tom Wood Subaru is an outstanding dealership. When I came in several weeks later to test drive, another fellow helped me, and for the first time when buying a car I didn't have the guilt like I was "cheating" on the first salesman, because they don't sell on commission here. That's nice. Greg Begley walked me through every bit of the Subaru customer care setup, which really is impressive. I think we have a genuine corporation-with-a-conscience here, folks! Greg helped me order the exact car I wanted, exactly the way I wanted it, and clarified areas where I could get more for my money by making better choices. (I hope his employers appreciate that if this honesty costs them a few bucks in the short run, it's made up for in return clientele who trust them.) My sweet new Ascent is absolutely delicious to drive, and I feel confident knowing they will help me with any ruffles that arise, cuz that's their thing; the person who sells you the car is like your personal car guidance rep for life.
